Det blev en riktigt tidig morgon med två killar som kom hit till vår lägenhet för att sätta upp våra rullgardiner i våra två sovrum. Vi har bott här i tre somrar nu och denna sommar (kanske) allt som vi vill få till kommer att komma på plats, eller det är mer; vi har äntligen ”fått ändan ur vagnen” (för att säga det på ett finare sätt) och bestämt oss för vad vi vill ha och sen bara beställt.
Idag ska vi åka till Elias lägenhet för att försöka göra klart det sista (eller det som är möjligt att göra klart). Vi beställde några saker från Chilli (har aldrig tidigare beställt därifrån och hade inte en aning om vad det var, vi hittade bara några fina möbler som passade jättebra in med allt annat i lägenheten och med stilen vi valt) men byrån och sidobordet vi fick var verkligen bara ett skämt.
It was an early morning with two guys coming to our apartment to put up our blinds in our two bedrooms. We’ve been living here for three summers now and this summer (maybe) everything we’ve wanted to fix is coming together, or it’s more like; we finally pulled ourselves together and decided what we wanted and then ordered.
Today we’re going to Elias apartment to try to finish the rest (the stuff that is possible to finish). We ordered a couple of things from Chilli (I’ve never ordered from them before and I had no idea what it was, we just found a couple of furnitures that went so good with everything else and the style we chose) but the dresser and the side table we got really was a joke.
Paketet med byrån innehöll inte några bottnat till lådorna, de tre skruvarna som skulle hålla fast skenorna inuti byrån möttes på mitten så att vi inte kunde skruva in dem hela vägen och på botten på byrån fanns det inga hål för att fästa metallbenen. Vi fick kompromissa lite, borra egna hål och köpa plywood för att göra egna bottnar till lådorna. Sidobordet står fortfarande i hallen med fyra lådor som aldrig någonsin kommer att passa hålen de är ”gjorda” för. Tänk er en kvadratisk kloss som ska in i ett runt hål… Vi får se vad vi gör med det, jag var för trött när vi var där senast så ska ta nya tag idag (och ja, vi har kontaktat företaget och får bara svar var på femte email).
Elias kom hem för en natt efter VM och åkte sedan till Växjö morgonen efter så vi har fortfarande tid att göra det till en liten överraskning i alla fall. Emil är i duschen nu och när han är klar så åker vi.
Jag har filmat processen med att få ihop lägenheten, kaoset och allt. Jag ska försöka lägga ut en video på youtube ikväll, om det inte tar för lång tid hos Elias. VM-resan får vänta någon dag till, men den är påväg!

The package for the dresser didn’t contain any bottoms to the drawers, the three screws that was going to attach the rails on the inside meet on the middle so we couldn’t screw them the whole way and the button of the dresser didn’t have any holes for the screws that was going to attach the metal legs. We had to compromise, make our own holes and buy some plywood to make our own bottoms to the drawers. The side board is still standing in the hallway with four drawers that are never going to fit the holes they are ”made” for. Imagine a square block going into a circle cut hole…. We’ll see what we do with it, I was just too tired last time we were there but I’ll deal with it this time (and yes we’ve contacted the company and only gets an answer every fifth email).
Elias came home for a night after World Champions and then left for Växjö next morning so we still have time to make it a bit of a surprise. Emil’s in the shower now and when he’s done we’re leaving.
I’ve filmed the process of putting together the apartment, the chaos and all. I’ll try to post it on youtube tonight, if it dosen’t take too long at Elias’s. The ”world champions trip”-video will have to wait a couple of days more, but it’s on the way!
